U.S. Military Mermite Insulated Aluminum Mess Hall Wyott Food Container

This is a Food Service container that was used to take hot or cold foods to the field to feed mostly Combat Troops like Army Infantry, Marines and other Soldiers on maneuvers. American Wyott Corp. Inc made it. The outer insulated container has carrying handles at both ends. It is painted OD Olive Drab green that has some paint wear. The top has some instruction decals that show wear. There is some spray painted numbers on it. The top has some gray paint residue. The inside top has a thick black rubber seal that is removable for cleaning. It measures 16” high, 21” long and 10” wide. Inside are 3 aluminum slide in insert containers for different foods. They can be removed and the container can be used to carry ice and beer or soda that will stay cold for days. These items have different dates from the 1970s to 80s. They all have dents and wear from use. There are no holes. With this I am including some restaurant stainless steel serving utensils that are similar to those used by the Military marked “CAPCO STAINLESS STEEL JAPAN”. There is a 4 Ounce Ladle for coffee, soups or other liquids. There is a strainer spoon for vegetables and a regular spoon for solids and potatoes. Jeep, Hum V or truck to remote areas easily transported these mermite containers. There are 9 pictures for viewing.
